Remarks, Keynote, Exhibit and Awards Given at NEAFCS

ACI hosted a workshop for Extension Professionals at the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences 2015 Annual Session. ACI also presented the welcoming remarks at the opening session and gave away 600 copies of educational resources at ACI's exhibit. ACI's Clean and Healthy Families & Communities Award was presented to Lisa Treiber, Extension Educator with Michigan State University Extension and the team of Mary Ann Lienhart Cross and Annetta Jones, County Extension Directors of Health and Human Sciences with Purdue University.

ACI supports CTW Congressional Soap Drive

ACI Supports Clean The World Congressional Soap Drive

ACI joined members of Congress at a kick-off reception for the Clean the World Congressional Soap Drive hosted by UPS to collect bars of soap that will be handed out to at-risk children & families in the US. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Exhibit & Workshop

In July, ACI exhibited at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America National Leadership Conference. FCCLA's theme, "Together We Are… Healthy" was also a perfect fit for promoting Healthy Schools, Healthy People, It's A SNAP! ACI's workshop goal was to help FCCLA chapters identify resources and understand the steps for creating a project and applying for national recognition. Read more...

National Association of School Nurses Exhibit

In June, ACI also exhibited at the National Association of School Nurses 47th Annual Conference in Philadelphia. ACI promoted the Healthy Schools, Healthy People, It's a SNAP program (a joint initiative from ACI and CDC) encouraging nurses to work with their students next school year and apply for national recognition. Cindy Cobia from Tyler, Texas was the lucky winner for ACI's "Purses for Nurses" drawing. 2015 Guatemala Clean the World

Clean the World - Guatemala Soap Distribution Trip

In April 2015, Clean the World (as part of its Hygiene Ambassador Program) and Children’s International along with Nancy Bock, Sr. VP of Education of the American Cleaning Institute and one ACI's member companies, The Clorox Company, traveled to the Guatemalan towns of Tecpan and San Lorenzo to distribute soap and hand hygiene education.
